Why SRC Exists
"Savanah Reign's Comfort Foundation was created from personal loss, faith, and a desire to ensure that no family has to walk through the loss of a child alone. In December 2019, I experienced the stillbirth of my daughter, Savanah Reign.
Like many families facing the unexpected loss of a child, I was suddenly navigating grief, funeral decisions, financial burdens, and overwhelming emotions all at the same time.
During one of the darkest periods of my life, prayer, family, and community support helped me continue moving forward. As time passed, I recognized how different that experience can be for families who do not have those same systems of support. Some families are forced to fundraise while grieving. Some struggle to afford funeral or cremation services. Others need compassionate emotional support, professional grief and mental health resources, practical guidance, or simply someone willing to walk alongside them as they begin to heal.
Savanah Reign's Comfort Foundation was created to help fill those gaps.
Our mission is to provide comfort, prevention, protection, and healing to families before, during, and after the loss of a child.
Through funeral assistance, prevention programming, family protection initiatives, grief support, professional and community partnerships, and connections to qualified mental health resources, SRC is building a circle of care around families throughout Stark County and, as we grow, beyond."
